Nice to be out of the RAIN!!!!

Today was F'n beautiful and the fact that I got to ride my bike for a couple of hours this morning was amazing!!! Here's a few shots taken by Lisa Myklak. I have some really good video clips of Lisa riding I will put up as soon as I learn how to compress them correctly. SO... for now these will have to do. By the way feel free to write me at with any questions or concerns... I listen to the peanut gallery from time to time!... Go Ride... I did!

This is our first video clip... does she make it??? Come back and see...

P.S. Told ya I'd getcha back tomorrow...

More from Ray's...

I just got home from my 2nd trip this year to Ray's MTB Park where BlkMrkt participated in the Women Ride weekend by bringing Lisa Myklak and Emily Johnston out to ride with the ladies... BTW, Lisa had just come from winning both the pro SuperD and pro DH at Bootleg Canyon. There were 7 other female pros including; Jill Kitner, Gale Dalagher, Stephanie Nychka, Nina Burtago, Tammy and Nadia and at least 100 amateurs riding the hell out of Ray's. It's a wild scene... in one corner some kid is Super Whipping the RedBull box in tight girl's jeans while and dude in just as tight spandex is racing Ray's XC loop looking for the "feed zone".

Heres a few photos from the action at Rays.

Afro Pat and a dedication to S&M's own Seanster McKinney... Pat wanted to make it a Tacate but PBR was the sponsor and logo placement is everything, right?

Here's one I NEVER thought I'd see... Mike McQ.... your host for the S&M/Fit/BlkMrkt dealer appreciation Monday night rager... ripping it up on his very own .three57. Thats rules!!! I also saw Matt Berringer and Steve Crandall on Blkmrkt's that night.

Lisa Myklak klick klak x-up...and getting stezzy over the big box
Emily and Nina switching bikes and posing.... Emily not posing anymore.

Many Thanks to Ray, Bobby and Nina for a great weekend!!!

photos from Rays

Unfortunately the media coverage was pretty slim at Ray's this year... as a matter of fact media coverage at the smaller events has down right sucked for the past year or so... it seems to be if the event isn't CrankWorx or a National it seems most of the magazines aren't going to send anyone to cover it... If that keeps up sponsors will pull out and contests will dry up. But Mountain Biking was there and I got a few left overs from the event so... Here they are...

1. This photo kicks ass... Taj and Aaron Ross Vs. Big & Endo ... T&A won this one.

2. Adam giving somebody a letter whilst Catfish, AC, and a plethora of characters watch in awe.

3. Your Champions minus one Brandon Seminuk... If I had a photo of the 3 of them I would put it up...hint hint.

Support local events!

Rays BIKE contest

Adam and Thomas + Brandon Seminuk are the first Ray's BIKE contest. Why + Brandon? Well, Thomas looped out during a 1 foot x-up flip over the RedBull box breaking his fibula in the semi-finals while attempting to the final nail in the coffin against the Canadians.
Adam was forced to finish the Canadians off alone in 2 moves or less, which he did. Thanks to an unfortunate turn in luck for the Thom-A-Hauck's, the match up I was really looking forward of BMX's Aaron Ross & Taj Mahelic VS. Adam Hauck and Thomas Hancock would not happen. Instead Adam was allowed to pick a new partner and Brandon Seminuk fit the bill nicely. The newly re-named ThunderHawks made short work of the BMX Superstars defeating them BIKE to nothing. Taj and Aaron definitely held their own throughout the contest pulling some of the biggest moves too, like Taj pulling a 360 wallride HIGH above the RedBull box and Aaron sticking a huge 180 over the same obstacle. Adam and Thomas + Brandon had a few sick moves too including Brandon's letter giving no hand 1 footer to no foot can over the big box, Thomas' cork 3 half crank back and Adam's straight street 180 hop over a 30" wall.
There was crazy high tech trickery running a muck all over the park being thrown by riders I'd never seen before and huge ballsy tricks like Greg Watt's best trick winning double bar back flip. We had a great time and I'd like to thank Ray for putting on an amazing event for the 3rd year in a row... it's just a bummer that the more of the mountain bike media doesn't take advantage of the VERY FEW events we have in the US by showing up to cover it when people go out of their way to put one on. We need to support events in all levels if we want the sport to grow. Speaking of that...

The Winter Splinter is next weekend at the Industry skatepark in Georgia. Here's the flier... Adam Hauck will be there to shred with everyone. SO... go support a local event if you have the chance.
